Filth. Filth. Filth. and Muck.

Original Nomads

By every metric, the Nomads trod through a truly despicable landscape. The sky swirls chaotically in a foggy gray mist as the world around them oozes with repugnant green and purple gunk.

“What kind of creature could live here?” Ryker wonders to himself.

He holds a hand over his face, disguising a look of disgust at the sight before him. He motions for the party to quicken their pace to be done with this foul land. As the Nomads stroll past a circular bend in the muck, they finally come upon the local inhabitants, gathered together.

Of course, it’s Goblins.

Little green malnourished creatures with undergarments and clothes on complexly screwed faces gawk and bark in unison at the Nomads as they walk calmly closer. The Goblins’ mouths begin to froth — bubbles falling from the gaping crevices next to their stained fangs. While trying to interpret this as either an obscure greeting or an act of disrespect, a familiar figure appears before the Nymerians — Gary Vee.

Gary is highly respected in Nymeria as a trade and remote business relations genius. Whenever he appears, the people gather around him to listen to his passionate tirades in hopes of learning from his experience. Ryker begins to greet him when one of the Goblins vaults onto his head and clasps their spindly talon-like fingers over Gary’s mouth.

Gary appears relatively unfazed, albeit visibly annoyed, and motions for the Nomads to follow behind him. The Nymerian crew accompany Gary, who is already creeping away, and trek further through the muck to the cliff of the mountainside. From this vantage point overlooking the land, the town can be perceived with complete clarity.

The viscous sky is so thick that Goblins themselves can hold onto the clouds as a mode of transportation. Above the rag-tag assortment of figures on the cliff face, a misty figure, which Ryker recognizes from his fishing days as a whale, glides through the musty air with several Goblins attached.

The Goblins gargle and whine in a joyous howl as they drift through the sky on the whale’s underbelly. This visual display is too exciting for one of The Six, and they daringly leap off the side of the cliff to them. As Ryker takes in the scene before him, he hears the faint sound of the liquid hitting the ground; Turning towards his right, he looks on in horror as the strange creature perched on Gary is urinating directly on his face.

As Ryker begins to assist in the removal of the foul creature, Gary holds up a hand and shrugs his shoulders with a resigned look on his face. No words are exchanged for an uncomfortable moment mixed with pity and disgust, and a yellow pool of liquid forms below Gary’s shoes. Becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the situation, Ryker calls out to his brethren that it is time to leave the town of Goblins. Never meet your heroes, Ryker thinks to himself as they hastily leave this godforsaken land.
